It is 1954 and a terrible murder has been committed - a man has been stabbed, apparently by his own son. For this kind of crime there is only one penalty - the death penalty. As the jury retire to consider their verdict, it seems almost certain that the defendant will be put to death: nearly all of the Jurors are convinced of his guilt - except one. The argument that follows has been on stage countless times, and also on film - twice.

Cast includes:

  • The Hon Chief Justice Paul De Jersey
  • The Hon Justice HG Fryberg
  • The Hon Justice AM Daubney
  • Stephen Keim SC
  • Ralph Devlin SC
  • Matthew Foley, barrister-at-law, former Attorney-General and Minister for the Arts
  • Peter Carne, CEO, Queensland Law Society
  • Terry O'Gorman, Partner, Robertson O'Gorman Solicitors

Also featuring:

  • Bryan Probets as Juror 10
  • Paul Bishop as Juror 8

Closing comments and voice-overs will be provided by by the Hon Justice MJ White.

Directed by Christina Koch. Brought to you by the Bar Association Queensland and Queensland Young Lawyers by special arrangement with Domine Pty Ltd. This production is a rehearsed reading.
