The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble's upcoming production awakens the power of ancient myths in our contemporary lives through an exploration of Ovid's Metamorphosis (as translated by Ted Hughes). The resulting performance entitled Metamorphoses (or multiple transformations), celebrates the transformative power of human passion and alerts us to the shadows we try to suppress.

The creative team combines the directorial vision of Leah Mercer with the vocal expertise of Rob Pensalfini and the physical theatre training skills of Jo Loth; and will feature the core company members in a plethora of roles. Metamorphoses will take its audience on a heightened journey through the darkness and beauty of our mythical heritage and see what happens when it bubbles to the surface!
