2017 Prison Project Performance: Romeo & Juliet

'More light and light it grows...'

The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble's Shakespeare Prison Project returns to the newly-refurbished Borallon Training and Correctional Centre with one of Shakespeare's most beloved plays, Romeo and Juliet. A cast of twelve prisoners, all in their first stage production, bring to life this tale of two young lovers born into a conflict not of their making, whose loves and lives are chewed up by the violence around them. Passion, wit, sword-play, subterfuge, mystical potions, and a meddling monk.
