2018 Prison Project Performance: The Two Gentlemen of Verona

'Who by repentance is not satisfied is nor of heaven nor earth'

The Shakespeare Prison Project is presenting The Two Gentlemen of Verona for two very limited public performances on Saturday 30th June.

Some say that the strongest friendships involve each of the friends thinking they are slightly better than the other. Valentine and Proteus are just such friends, who become rivals in love and bitter enemies. A dozen men from Borallon Correctional and Training Centre stage one of Shakespeare's earliest and most rambunctious comedies, exploring friendship, love, honour, betrayal, and forgiveness. Play includes such saucy puns as "That man that hath a tongue, I say, is no man, if with his tongue he cannot win a woman".

The performances take place at the Borallon Training and Correctional Centre and will run for two hours, including a Q&A session with cast and facilitators.
